At the June 9 meeting, the Malverne Board of Education proudly celebrated a remarkable group of students whose recent achievements span school leadership, civic advocacy, athletic integrity and scientific innovation.

The evening spotlighted extraordinary milestones across our school community, demonstrating the heights Malverne students can reach with determination, passion and strong support networks.

The evening’s recognitions included:

Ex-Officio Student Board Representatives

The Board began the evening by honoring this year's Ex-Officio student board representatives for their dedicated service and leadership. Serving as the vital voice of the student body, these outstanding leaders provided regular updates on high school culture and initiatives throughout the school year, ensuring student perspectives were always represented at the board table.

Davison Avenue Student Ambassadors

The Davison Avenue Student Ambassadors were honored for their incredible civic advocacy and dedication to preserving local history. Through their hard work and persistent efforts, this impressive student group successfully lobbied the Town of Hempstead to have the Lakeview Public Library officially certified as a historic landmark.

Malverne Mules Varsity Baseball

The Malverne Mules Varsity Baseball team was recognized for receiving the prestigious New York State Public High School Athletic Association Award of Excellence. The honor celebrates the team's outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork and exceptional character both on and off the field this season.

Malverne High School Freshmen Science Researchers

The trustees applauded a talented group of Malverne High School freshmen science research students for earning an impressive second-place finish in the Physical Science category at the competitive South Asian American Women’s Alliance Science Fair.
