Dear Malverne Families and Friends,

What an incredible month it has been across our school district! October was filled with excitement, celebration, and so many moments that reminded us how special our community truly is.

Halloween Fun Across Our Schools
From creative costumes to festive classroom activities, our schools were buzzing with Halloween spirit! It was wonderful to see students, staff, and families come together to celebrate in such fun and imaginative ways. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable for our students.

Marching Band Shines!
Our Marching Band had an amazing month — performing at the Newsday Marching Band Festival on October 21st and wowing the crowd with their energy and talent. Then, they capped off their season with their best performance to date in Syracuse, NY, earning their highest score of the year! We are so proud of their hard work, teamwork, and dedication.

Cheerleaders Crowned Nassau Champions!
A huge congratulations to our Varsity Cheerleaders, who brought home the title of Nassau County Champions this past Sunday, November 2nd at Farmingdale State College! Their enthusiasm, spirit, and commitment to excellence were on full display — what an incredible achievement!  Next stop…onto Troy, New York next Sunday, November 9th for the NYS Championships!

Go, Boys Varsity Football!
We’re also sending a big congratulations to our Boys Varsity Football Team for making it to the playoffs! The team has worked so hard all season, and we’ll all be cheering them on as they take on Plainedge High School on Friday, November 7th at 6:30 pm at Plainedge. Best of luck — the whole community is behind you!

As we move into November, I just want to take a moment to say thank you — to our students, staff, families, and community members — for the energy, pride, and support you bring to everything we do. November is a time to reflect and be grateful for all those in our lives. I am truly grateful for the amazing community and all those who make it such a special place.  It is our work together that allows us to continue to make our schools a place where every child is supported and achieves.

With gratitude and school pride,
Dr. Maria L. Rianna
