MHS students conjured musical theatre magic as they staged an incredible production of Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA for four shows from March 6-9.

From the first notes of the orchestra to the final curtain call, audiences were in awe of the level of performance, professionalism and confidence that the students deftly projected from the stage during each stirring scene.

Every element of the performance was a highlight, from the soaring voices to the masterful stage presence, bringing to life the conflicting emotions of love, hope and desperation that are embedded into this classic love story, to the colorful costumes and stunning stage design that placed audiences directly into Aida’s complicated world.

Behind the scenes, the stage crew did remarkable job enhancing the production with smooth set changes and flawless lights and sound that gave audiences the impression that they had been transported from Malverne to Broadway.
