Malverne HS named Turnaround School

LI News Radio interviewed principal Dr. Romano and assistant principal Ms. Bascombe about their efforts that resulted in the school being named a “Turnaround School” by the State of New York.

During the “Spotlight on Long Island Schools” interview that aired on February 25th, they discussed the past challenges and current successes, the value of a team effort and how “restorative practices” played a key role in the turnaround.
