At the start of the Feb. 7 meeting, the Board of Education was proud to recognize 30 student musicians from the district for their participation in the Nassau Music Educators Association (NMEA) All-County ensembles.

The All-County honorees included students in grades 4-12 who performed as part of the All-County Band and All-County Chorus ensembles in January at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post and the NMEA All-County P.E.A.K. Festival, which took place in December.

NMEA All-County selection represents one of the highest achievements for Long Island music students. Participants are chosen based on New York State School Music Association evaluations and teacher recommendations.

The district congratulates all the All-County honorees for achieving this distinction and for their incredible dedication to their craft.
