Dear Members of Our School Community,
As we enter this special time of year, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to every member of our school community. The holiday season offers us a meaningful opportunity to pause, reflect, and appreciate the many ways we are connected—through learning, service, and our shared commitment to our children.
Across cultures and traditions, this season is often marked by themes of kindness, generosity, gratitude, and hope. These values are reflected every day in our classrooms, our hallways, and throughout our schools. They are evident in the dedication of our teachers and staff, the enthusiasm and resilience of our students, and the steadfast support of our families and community partners.
At the same time, we recognize that this time of year can be emotionally challenging for some. Whether due to personal loss, hardship, or other difficulties, please know that you are not alone. Our caring staff remains available and committed to supporting all of our students and families, and we encourage anyone in need of assistance to reach out.
I am deeply grateful for the spirit of compassion, collaboration, and care that defines our district. Our students are fortunate to learn in an environment where they are supported, encouraged, and celebrated for who they are. It is because of this collective effort that our schools continue to be places where all feel welcome, valued, and inspired.
As you spend time with family, friends, and loved ones—however you choose to observe this season—I hope it brings moments of peace, comfort, and renewal. May the coming year be filled with good health, continued learning, and opportunities to grow together as a community.
Thank you for all that you do to make our schools such special places. I wish you a happy, memorable, and restful holiday season.
With warm regards,
Dr. Maria L. Rianna
Superintendent of Schools
Malverne Union Free School District
