EARLY REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Malverne School District is proud to partner with Nottingham Academy and Tutor Time of East Rockaway to offer a free UPK program that helps prepare our 4-year-old learners for kindergarten through a thoughtful, creative curriculum supporting all areas of child development.

The program, which is led by certified teachers, emphasizes using play for learning and introduces students to the basics of letters, numbers, colors and phonemic awareness. Our students have fun while developing large and fine motor skills and learning essential social values and practices, including sharing, respect and teamwork.

For the 2026-27 school year, the district is excited to announce that Nottingham Academy will be expanding its program to included classes at our very own Maurice W. Downing Primary School.

Families with eligible children are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

UPK registration for the upcoming school year closes on May 6, 2026. To eligible for the lottery, children must be fully registered and a preferred location must be selected.
