8th Graders are working on a plan to stop the next big cholera outbreak. They analyzed first hand accounts of disease from the 14th century and simulated the spread of a disease in the classroom!

6th Grade Advisory and Community Service Club will be holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit the I.N.N. in Hempstead's soup kitchen and food pantry. Students will drop off their donations entering the building, in room 318, room 310, or labeled collection bins.


Mr.Gerardi and Ms.Ryan’s 7th grade science class made scaled models of the earth and moon to demonstrate how eclipses happen.






Spanish classes at HTH celebrated Dia de los Muertos by creating and decorating skull magnets for their lockers and authentic sugar skulls!

Halloween at Herber!











Mr. Gerardi’s Biology class is looking into how muscles work as they continue to investigate the NYC Marathon runner who went into a coma after the race. Today, they used simulated blood to model how the body regulates blood sugar, the fuel source for muscles.
