On May 30, Maurice W. Downing Primary School was proud to honor our K-2 students during the final "We Can" and "Portrait of Success" Awards Ceremony of the school year.
"We Can" award winners were selected by their teachers for making good choices, being helpful and exhibiting kindness towards others.
"Portrait of Success" honorees were selected for their commitment to being ethical, in alignment with the district's Portrait of a Graduate competencies.
Before the ceremony, students and guests were treated to a performance by the second grade Glee Club who performed “Better When I'm Dancin'” by Meghan Trainor and “Diamonds” by Rihanna.
Congratulations to all our honorees and thank you to the teachers, parents and staff who are helping to guide our students through their exciting educational journey.
