We recognize the important role that cell phones play in our daily lives, including communication and access to information. However, it is equally important to understand how cell phone use during school hours can impact student learning and focus. Research has shown that excessive cell phone use can lead to distractions, reduced attention spans, online bullying, and decreased academic performance. To provide an optimal learning environment for our students, we have developed a cell phone policy with input from parents, faculty, staff, and student representatives.
