Students in Ms. Kelly's Living Environments class conducted experiments to determine if the rate of cellular respiration increased with exercise.

They used a chemical indicator, Bromothymol Blue, which changes color in the presence of carbon dioxide. As the color of the water changed from blue to yellow faster after exercise, student determined that the rate of respiration did increase.
