Did you know that Malverne High School is situated up to 45 feet above sea level? These students do, thanks to Mr. Beck's Civil Engineering and Architecture class.

These 11th and 12th graders are surveying for elevation in the parking lot and fields behind the HS and learning a bit of Long Island history and topography at the same time!

This unique class is part of the Engineering Program of Project Lead The Way, an innovative approach to education that teaches students real-world skills with a focus on problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration.
