During New York State School Board Recognition Week, Malverne students took the opportunity to say thank you to board members for their continued support.

Since the meeting was held on a school night, students from Downing, Davison and Herber conveyed their gratitude through videos filmed especially for the occasion.

A group of students from Malverne High School were at the meeting to thank the board members in person and present them with gift bags, including district-branded reusable water bottles, a nod to the district’s focus on environmental sustainability.

The meeting also featured student academic achievement acknowledgements, including AP Scholars and the National African American Recognition Award, which was presented to Javier Figueroa.
